Engineering Technology education focuses on problem-solving specifically involving lab and technical skills. Program Learning Outcomes for the AAS in Engineering Technology

Program learning outcomes are the knowledge, skills, and abilities that students will achieve before they graduate. The outcomes below were developed by the faculty in Engineering Technology with input from accrediting bodies, advisory committees, employers, etc. This collaboration ensures that the outcomes are relevant for careers that this degree leads to.

Students who graduate with an AAS in Engineering Technology will be able to:

  1. Solve complex engineering problems by applying principles of engineering, science and mathematics
  2. Apply the engineering design process to produce solutions that meet specified needs
  3. Analyze and interpret data and use engineering judgment to draw conclusions
